Sgt. Jim Sayih, is the organizer and Director of the 911 Fitness Challenge which is now in its tenth year. Jim is a 911 Trainer, Miami, Director/Presenter, MS - Exercise Physiology, NSCA, CSCS, ACSM - HFI.

Due to Jim's untiring work and commitment to this organization, the 911 Fitness Challenge was
extended to Canadian frontline professionals in 2007. 
 Approximately 50,000 911 competitors  competed throughout North America The Challenge has been featured on several major television networks including ABC’s  Good Morning America show. We invite Canadians to join us and support this worthwhile event!

organization promotes and integrates education, and, practical applications of fundamental exercise to maintain and enhance physical performance, fitness, health, and quality of life for police officers, firefighters and the general public.
 

On a daily basis, 911 responders play a vital
role in ensuring the safety, health and well-being
of others.  

The 911 Fitness Challenge

  • The Fitness Challenge is a Weight Loss Contest for the Public Safety Population to LOSE FAT and GAIN MUSCLE as a TEAM.  This approach promotes TEAMWORK and Camaraderie.
  • Winning Teams with the Greatest Improvement will WIN $5,000.00 from each Region. 
  • Regions include Canada (as one region), United States - Southeastern Region, United States - Northeastern Region, United States - Central Region and United States - Western Region.
  • Eligibility requires team members to be Active or Retired Police, Firefighters, Paramedics, EMS, Military, Corrections, NURSES, Physicians and the SPOUSES for any of these occupations that fall under the 911 responder category.
